About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a qualified music teacher to join the Sermersooq Music School in Nuuk. You will be responsible for delivering music education to children and youth, both individually and in groups, while contributing to the development of the school's programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver music lessons for children and adolescents, including individual tuition and group classes.
• Organise and execute student concerts, workshops, and collaborative projects with local schools, daycare centres and external guest musicians.
• Participate in the development of the school's curriculum and expand its musical offerings.
• Handle practical and administrative tasks related to teaching and school activities.

Required profile

• Relevant music education or comparable qualification.
• Passion for teaching music to various age groups and ability to create an inspiring, safe learning environment.
• Self‑driven, responsible and able to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and local partners.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to different students and project needs.
