About the role

The integrated institution Puiaq in Nuuk is seeking a dedicated leader to oversee a childcare centre serving 64 children aged 0‑6 across four rooms. You will guide a team of 15 staff members, ensuring a safe, coherent daily environment that supports the institution’s educational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cohesive, secure daily routine for children.
• Lead and support the institution’s pedagogical objectives.
• Communicate pedagogical methods to both professional and non‑professional staff.
• Engage parents in the institution’s educational approach.
• Participate in pedagogical collaboration with other early‑years leaders.
• Handle administrative and financial management tasks.
• Utilise IT tools for reporting and communication.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue with a passion for educational leadership.
• Visible, approachable leader who fosters teamwork and staff development.
• Strong collaborative abilities and capacity to maintain an overview of operations.
• Willingness to undergo criminal and child‑record checks as required by law.
• Ability to work under a three‑month probation period.
