Pedagogical Assistant for Youth Cultural House Igdlo

About the role

Join the team at Ungdomskulturhuset Igdlo in Tasiilaq to help create safe, inclusive spaces and meaningful activities for local youth. You will work closely with young people, staff, and partners to foster community, participation, and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the youth cultural house.
• Build and maintain respectful relationships with young users.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate activities and small projects together with youth and staff.
• Provide guidance and refer young people to relevant professionals when needed.
• Participate in meetings and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Handle practical, administrative, and activity‑related tasks linked to the house’s operation.

Required profile

• Experience or strong interest in relational, leisure, cultural, or youth work.
• Ability to create trustful relationships and interact with youth respectfully.
• Capable of working responsibly and independently within set boundaries.
• Collaborative attitude with youth, colleagues, management, and partners.
• Willingness to plan and carry out activities together with young people.
• Flexibility for varying tasks and working hours.
