Støtteperson – fuldtidsstilling (40 timer/uge)

About the role

Atuarfik Inussuk, a newly developing school with around 1,000 pupils, is looking for dedicated support persons to work full‑time (40 hours per week). You will help children with diverse needs develop socially, emotionally and physically while contributing to a collaborative, student‑centred learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social‑pedagogical support according to each child’s individual action plan.
• Assist children with daily tasks in their classroom or daycare setting.
• Train children to increase independence and self‑reliance.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and status meetings with administration and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff members.
• Prepare and submit status reports on each child’s progress.

Required profile

• Formal education as a support person or a pedagogical qualification, preferably with knowledge of diagnoses and disabilities; alternatively, relevant experience with children and youth.
• Robust, patient, friendly, responsible and respectful.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Willingness to cooperate with colleagues and parents and engage in pedagogical discussions.
• Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.
