Special Consultant for Arctic Basic Training Development

About the role

The position is a newly created special consultant role within the New Military Unit in Greenland, reporting to the Arctic Command. You will have a central, independent responsibility for the development and coordination of the Arctic Basic Training programme, ensuring its alignment with the Danish Defence's broader education and career pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the development of Arctic Basic Training, handling requests for changes in duration, start times and content.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts together with the Personnel Command and Greenlandic educational institutions, adapting processes to local conditions.
• Ensure coherence between Arctic Basic Training and other Defence education and career opportunities, tracking graduates' progression.
• Process and respond to inquiries from current and former trainees, citizens, researchers and external partners.
• Occasionally present information about the training programme to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education and experience in independent case handling, coordination or development tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously in a complex authority context, turning ideas into actionable solutions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience in developing and implementing solutions that balance multiple interests and needs.
• Comfortable managing a broad network of contacts across military, governmental and civilian organisations.
