Socialpædagogisk mentor – familie- og børnestøtte

About the role

We are looking for a social‑pedagogical mentor to join the Center for Counseling and Family Treatment. The mentor will work directly with families, providing home‑based support that strengthens parental competence and promotes children’s wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct home‑based family interventions.
• Follow action plans and goals set by the responsible authority.
• Develop detailed development plans with objectives and sub‑objectives for each family.
• Guide parents in daily routines, relationships, parenting roles and upbringing strategies.
• Document activities and contribute to professional assessments.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.

Required profile

• Relevant social‑educational qualification (e.g., pedagogue, counselor, therapist).
• Experience in family work or supportive interventions.
• Ability to work holistically, in a structured and independent manner.
• Strong relational skills to build trust with vulnerable families.
• Effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Good written and oral communication in Greenlandic; Danish proficiency is a plus.
• Resilience to handle both planned and acute tasks in a dynamic environment.
