About the role

The municipality is looking for a dedicated caretaker assistant to support the daily operation and safety of Atuarfik Tuiisaq school. The role involves supervising cleaning, kitchen and service staff, ensuring the premises are secure, and handling transport and procurement tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise service, cleaning and kitchen staff according to the school inspector’s directives.
• Open the school at 07:00 and ensure it is securely closed by 16:00 (or 17:00 for after‑hours events).
• Manage snow removal, keep emergency exits clear, and maintain doors and windows in good condition.
• Ensure toilets are stocked with paper, hand soap and kitchen rolls.
• Organise monthly meetings with service staff and involve the school inspector when necessary.
• Handle procurement, vehicle safety and transport of purchases.
