About the role

Royal Greenland is looking for a dedicated assistant to support its fisheries consultant in Maniitsoq. The role involves close interaction with local fishers, handling logistical tasks, and contributing to the smooth operation of coastal transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, distributing and monitoring Royal Greenland transport vessels for coastal fishers, including handling paperwork.
• Participate in inspections of fishing gear graves and support expeditions to villages.
• Help return and repair gear using the NordStar 26 vessel.
• Facilitate connections between Sisimiut and Paamiut for trawler‑based fishers.
• Collaborate with the trawler "TUNEQ" on joint activities.
• Organise and, when needed, draft content for meetings of the International Fisheries Organization.
• Provide occasional support to other factory departments as required.

Required profile

• Experience in office work or related tasks; experience with fishing‑gear repair is a plus but not mandatory.
• Reliability, teamwork orientation and a willingness to assist colleagues.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work in English is highly beneficial.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (basic office software).
