About the role

We are looking for a dedicated office assistant to cover a maternity leave on a full‑time basis until 30 November 2026. The position is located in Tasiilaq and reports to the head of the Department for Children and Families, supporting daily administrative and financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with general office tasks and maintain an overview of the department’s budget.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and post invoices in the AX accounting system.
• Perform accounting controls, correct posting errors and ensure accurate financial records.
• Provide secretarial support to the department head, including correspondence and meeting coordination.
• Coordinate craftsmen for rented housing and handle reception cancellations as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the office clerk, department leaders and the head of department.
• Execute ad‑hoc administrative duties assigned by the department head.

Required profile

• Relevant office education (e.g., HK/administrative studies).
• Proficient user‑level computer skills.
• Stable, flexible and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Clear written and oral communication in Danish; knowledge of Greenlandic is a plus.
• Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a numeric aptitude.
