About the role

Grønlands Politi is seeking police‑trained officers for a 12‑month assistance service on the coastal stations of Greenland. The position involves working in remote communities, contributing to public safety and community trust across one of the 17 coastal police stations.

Key responsibilities

• Case handling across a broad range of police matters, ensuring quality and adherence to processing times.
• Maintain daily readiness, including regular on‑call duties and emergency response.
• Conduct preventive activities in collaboration with municipalities, schools and other partners to reduce crime and enhance safety.
• Appear in district courts to prosecute cases at first instance.

Required profile

• Completed police education (eligible from Denmark, the Faroe Islands or Greenland).
• Willingness to work in isolated coastal locations and adapt to varying environmental conditions.
• Strong sense of responsibility, community orientation and ability to work independently.
