Vice School Inspector for a 4‑Level School

About the role

The school seeks a Vice School Inspector to join the leadership team of a four‑level school with 334 students and 50 teachers on Greenland's east coast. The role involves overseeing student homes, staff, substitute coverage, and general school operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe, structured, and developmental environments for students in residential homes and coordinate closely with home staff.
• Provide daily personnel leadership for selected staff groups, motivating and supporting them in their pedagogical work.
• Coordinate substitute teachers to maintain smooth school days during absences.
• Participate in administrative tasks, including planning, behavior and wellbeing management, and parent collaboration.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification, preferably complemented by leadership training.
• Experience or strong interest in working with children and youth in residential settings.
• Structured, decisive, and able to maintain overview, especially when planning substitute schedules.
• Communicative, able to build good relationships with staff, students, parents, and external partners.
