Truck and Construction Machinery Mechanic – Greenland Airport

About the role

We are looking for a qualified truck or construction‑machinery mechanic to join our small team at the airport in Nerlerit Inaat, Greenland. The position offers a unique work environment surrounded by Arctic nature and a mix of technical responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair airport equipment including Mercedes trucks, various snow‑clearing machines, construction machines, forklifts, Volvo D9 generators and fire‑fighting vehicles.
• Participate in airport fire and sea‑rescue readiness, security team duties and ad‑hoc tasks in other departments as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified truck mechanic or equivalent background with 3‑5 years of industry experience.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility for tasks and maintain high quality standards.
• Good health with a medical certificate, clean criminal record and valid driver’s licences for cars and trucks.

Required skills

• Hydraulic system maintenance.
• Electrical system troubleshooting.
• Mechanical repair of heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment.
