About the role

Utoqqaat Illuat, a 24‑hour nursing home in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, is looking for three dedicated health care assistants to support 47 residents across several departments. The role focuses on providing safe, respectful and person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care and personal assistance based on each resident’s needs and preferences.
• Support physical, mental, social and spiritual well‑being of residents.
• Observe health changes, document observations clearly and act professionally.
• Participate in activities, preventive measures and collaborate with colleagues, families and external partners.

Required profile

• Qualified health care assistant or equivalent education.
• Interest in working with elderly and people with dementia.
• Patient, calm and able to handle challenging situations.
• Responsible, flexible, collaborative and able to work independently.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including every other weekend.
