About the role

Utoqqaat Illuat, a 24‑hour care institution in the Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq municipality, is looking for three dedicated healthcare assistants. You will work in a residential setting with 47 elderly residents, providing person‑centered care and supporting their overall wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and personal assistance based on each resident’s needs and preferences.
• Support residents’ physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing.
• Observe and promptly respond to changes in health status.
• Document care activities, observations and agreements clearly and accurately.
• Participate in daily activities and preventive initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues, management, relatives and external partners.
• Contribute to a safe, respectful and dignified everyday environment for residents.

Required profile

• Qualified as a healthcare assistant or hold an equivalent relevant education.
• Interest in working with elderly people, including those with dementia.
• Patient, caring and calm, even in challenging situations.
• Responsible, stable, flexible and cooperative.
• Able to work independently, take initiative and document clearly.
• Respect confidentiality and can separate work and private life.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including every other weekend.
• Committed to developing and improving care quality.
