About the role

Ippiarsuk, a nursing home with 34 residents and an activity centre for 35 day‑users, is looking for a dedicated Sundhedsassistent (Healthcare Assistant). The position is full‑time (40 hours per week) with rotating day/evening/night shifts and a weekend duty every second weekend.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medication, perform observations and document resident health status.
• Provide personal care and support to elderly residents and their relatives.
• Collaborate with nurses, health helpers, and other multidisciplinary staff.
• Act as a mentor and practical supervisor for student trainees.
• Participate in educational activities and contribute to a positive, creative work environment.

Required profile

• Qualified as a Sundhedsassistent or equivalent.
• Broad clinical experience and solid professional knowledge.
• Responsible, flexible and able to work mixed shifts.
• Good interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Interest in elderly care and willingness to guide students.
• Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not mandatory.
