About the role

We are looking for a qualified health assistant to join Ippiarsuk, a residential care home in Nuuk, Greenland. The role involves providing professional nursing support to 34 residents and participating in the activity centre serving 35 day‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medication, perform observations and document care according to professional standards.
• Deliver direct care to elderly residents, ensuring safety, comfort and respect.
• Collaborate with nurses, health aides, social workers and other staff across three wards and the activity centre.
• Participate in mixed day, evening and night shifts, including a weekend shift every second weekend.
• Act as a mentor for students, delivering teaching and supervision during practical placements.

Required profile

• Qualified health assistant (or equivalent) with solid clinical experience.
• Responsible, flexible and positive attitude toward shift work.
• Interest in elderly care and willingness to contribute to a respectful, collaborative environment.
• Good interdisciplinary communication skills; bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.
