Souschef for School Afterschool Program

About the role

The position supports the leadership of the school after‑school programme for children in grades 1‑3 in Tasiilaq. You will help ensure a safe, stimulating environment that promotes social, cognitive and motor development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities, ensuring they align with the pedagogical yearly plan.
• Introduce and disseminate new pedagogical methods to staff and parents.
• Maintain a visible presence, inspire the team, and foster professional development.
• Handle administrative and financial tasks, and act as deputy during the manager’s absence.

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in early‑childhood or day‑care settings.
• Strong understanding of the local social context in Tasiilaq.
• Psychological resilience and ability to manage challenging situations.
• Familiarity with mandatory reporting obligations.
