About the role

AKO Neriusaaq is an after‑school care centre for children aged 6‑9, serving up to 100 pupils. The organisation seeks a leader to oversee daily operations, develop pedagogical practice across all rooms, and act as a key advisor to the staff team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the pedagogical plan for each room, providing guidance and support to educators.
• Collaborate with the sous‑chef to shape institutional personnel policy and ensure compliance with political and budgetary frameworks.
• Maintain appropriate staff coverage according to staffing norms, organise meetings with staff, parents and users, and keep daily attendance records.
• Participate in school teaching sessions up to twice a week, supporting children’s wellbeing during lessons.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue or equivalent education with a strong professional attitude.
• Responsible, creative, flexible and able to handle stressful situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of influencing staff positively and acting as a role model.
• Commitment to developing a healthy, progressive institution for all users.
