About the role

The position leads the Fritidsklub Qinngorput, shaping its future direction, culture and pedagogical approach for children and young people aged 9‑21.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a new structure and vision for the club.
• Act as the daily and strategic leader, collaborating with senior management.
• Prepare an annual plan, facilitate professional exchanges and support cross‑club cooperation.
• Strengthen team collaboration and introduce innovative pedagogical work methods.
• Serve as a trusted and unifying figure for children, parents and staff.

Required profile

• Relevant pedagogical education (e.g., educator, teacher, or pedagogical assistant).
• Proven experience in leadership roles.
• Clear, stable communication style.
• Commitment to the well‑being and development of children and youth.
• Ability to design and organise pedagogical activities together with staff and the club council.
• Familiarity with children’s rights, mandatory reporting duties and professional boundaries.
• Psychological resilience and capacity to handle challenging situations.
• Competence in IT and administration, including participation in budgeting and planning.
