About the role

The municipality of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for a dedicated consultant to manage cross‑functional tasks within the Job and Social Service department in Ittoqqortoormiit. The role focuses on labour‑market, qualification, guidance, education and social‑welfare activities, supporting the community’s development according to municipal objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Handle phone and in‑person citizen contacts, providing information and assistance.
• Register unemployed individuals in Winformatik and GetOrganized systems.
• Process applications for job‑search benefits, public assistance, early retirement and old‑age pensions.
• Administer benefit suspensions, mobility‑promoting allowances and external applications.
• Provide guidance on employment, training, education and pension options.
• Conduct assessment processes for work‑capacity evaluations.
• Collaborate with local businesses, educational institutions and other municipal departments.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and continuous development of service areas.

Required profile

• Relevant education in administration or a related field.
• Experience in labour‑market, education or social‑service environments.
• Initiative‑taking, resilient and able to inspire colleagues.
• Respectful, consistent communication with citizens.
• Ability to identify labour‑market needs and preferences.
• No history of substance‑abuse.
• Proficiency in Danish and preferably Greenlandic.

Required skills

• Use of Winformatik case‑management system.
• Use of GetOrganized software for registration and matching.
