About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a dedicated administrative officer to join its Pension Team within Social Service. The role involves handling pension applications and providing advice to citizens, ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Process incoming early‑retirement and old‑age pension applications in accordance with laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Provide citizen service, offering advice and answering personal, telephone and written inquiries.
• Collaborate closely with other Social Service units, the elderly care department and external partners.
• Carry out ad‑hoc tasks and support continuous improvement of pension case handling.

Required profile

• Office‑educated, academic or social‑work background (e.g., social counsellor or equivalent).
• Proven experience in pension case processing.
• Strong IT aptitude, especially with GetOrganized and AX prisme systems.
• Independent, detail‑oriented, quality‑focused and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Collaborative, positive attitude and clear communication skills.
• Bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, not a requirement.
