About the role

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a dedicated caseworker to join the Supervisory Authority within the Department of Facilities and Environment. The position involves handling area allocation applications for vehicles without license plates, boats, and container storage, as well as conducting inspections and follow‑up actions.

Key responsibilities

• Process applications for area allocations, primarily for boats, unregistered vehicles, and containers.
• Prepare hearing documents and issue decisions.
• Inspect issued area allocations and conduct field checks in the city.
• Coordinate administrative case work with incoming applications and internally initiated matters.
• Support other departments within the municipality.
• Handle ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education, such as an office or technical qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably in both Greenlandic and Danish.
• Ability to engage constructively with citizens.
• Experience in public administration or familiarity with relevant legislation is an advantage, though training will be provided.
