Pedagogical Consultant for Day Care Department

About the role

We are looking for a Pedagogical Consultant to support and develop the educational work across our day‑care institutions. Starting 1 October 2026 (or by agreement), you will facilitate projects, training and continuous improvement to ensure high‑quality learning environments for children.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and guide leaders of day‑care institutions based on current research and best practices.
• Support institution leaders on pedagogical themes, development, administration, budgeting, personnel management and collaboration.
• Plan, organize and deliver training activities, courses and presentations.
• Initiate, lead and participate in development projects; create and maintain guidelines.
• Handle case work in the pedagogical field, including complaints and transfer requests.
• Conduct supervision and perform ad‑hoc tasks across the department.

Required profile

• Proactive in acquiring new knowledge and able to translate theory into practice, both in writing and orally.
• Skilled at delivering presentations and managing processes.
• Comfortable working at the intersection of practice and policy, turning legislative requirements into actionable initiatives.
• Capable of overseeing and coordinating diverse tasks within the day‑care sector.
• Qualified pedagogue, preferably with additional relevant education.
• Fluent in both Greenlandic and Danish.
• Strong IT competence and comfortable working on a computer.
• Eligible for a criminal and child‑protection clearance.
