About the role

Sikkersoq is an integrated childcare institution caring for 64 children across four rooms. The kitchen assistant will work full‑time (40 hours per week) from 07:30 to 15:50, reporting directly to the institution leader and supporting the daily nutrition of children aged 0‑6.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals for 64 children, ensuring nutritional balance and variety.
• Develop weekly menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, follow food‑safety regulations, and manage stock and supplies.

Required profile

• Qualified kitchen assistant or equivalent education.
• Strong planning abilities for menus and work tasks.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate well with a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience preparing nutritious meals for young children, including knowledge of allergen‑free cooking.
• Proficiency in Danish and Greenlandic is an advantage.
