About the role

Rambøll Grønland is looking for a civil or construction engineer to join its infrastructure department, focusing on port and marine projects along the Greenlandic coast. The position involves participation in all project phases, from initial registration through design to execution, with opportunities to work on both renovation and new‑build assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams handling Arctic engineering challenges.
• Develop detailed designs, calculations and work descriptions for port, geotechnical and marine structures.
• Travel to project sites across Greenland, gaining local knowledge of towns and settlements.
• Maintain responsibility for your specific technical discipline throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Flexible experience level – from early‑career (1‑5 years) to senior (15+ years) – with a willingness to adapt responsibilities accordingly.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, collaborative environment and demonstrate solution‑oriented, outgoing attitudes.
• Interest in Arctic engineering and willingness to work onsite in Nuuk, with occasional periods in Sisimiut or Ilulissat.

Required skills

• Calculations of spun structures and geotechnical analyses.
• Design calculations for steel and concrete structures.
• Preparation of detailed work descriptions.
• Proficiency with Revit or MicroStation.
• Experience with Plaxis or similar geotechnical software.
