About the role

We are looking for a full‑time department manager to lead Annersuaq, an integrated early‑childhood institution serving 64 children. The role reports to the head of Annersuaq and is part of the management team within the Department of Children, Family and School.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the department and participate in the management team of Annersuaq.
• Oversee daily operations for the two infant groups and two kindergarten groups, ensuring the institution runs from 07:00 to 17:00.
• Implement the institution’s values, including appreciative pedagogy, use of nature as a teaching tool, respect for diversity and creation of safe, development‑friendly environments.
• Ensure compliance with criminal and child‑record checks before employment starts.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, supervision of 15 employees and manage housing provisions for staff.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue (pædagog) with experience in leading early‑childhood staff.
• Proactive, responsible and able to contribute to the leadership team.
• Approachable, positive attitude towards children, staff and parents.
• Stable with a good overview of operations.
• Fluency in Danish and Greenlandic is an advantage, not a requirement.
