AC-Fuldmægtig / Specialkonsulent – Children & Family Department

About the role

The municipality of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for an experienced AC-Fuldmægtig or Specialkonsulent to join the Children & Family Department. This full‑time position supports the head of staff by coordinating cross‑functional tasks, ensuring deadlines are met, and providing high‑quality written communication.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data‑supported analyses and economic key‑figure work.
• Prepare case presentations, consultation responses and status reports with strong linguistic quality.
• Develop budget proposals, manage budgeting processes and perform ongoing budget follow‑up.
• Handle financial management, forecasting and analysis of expenditures and variances.
• Follow up on political decisions and implement related initiatives.
• Create internal procedures, concepts and quality‑assurance material.
• Design processes and facilitate seminars, theme days and workshops.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaborations.
• Provide secretariat services for management forums and committees.
• Lead coordination of complaint cases and access‑to‑document requests, ensuring timely handling and reporting to the head of staff.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant social‑science or administrative bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in a politically governed organization, preferably in the social sector.
• Excellent written communication skills, able to translate complex issues into clear decision documents.
• Experience with financial management, budgeting and budget follow‑up.
• Strong organizational overview and ability to coordinate complex, cross‑departmental tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Good collaboration skills and ability to navigate an environment with many stakeholders.
