About the role

Siunnersuisut, a dynamic department within the Social Service of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, is looking for two consultants with a social‑work background. You will work directly with citizens, handling public assistance, early retirement pension cases, and general citizen‑service matters while contributing to the department’s ongoing development.

Key responsibilities

• Case handling and counseling for public assistance, early retirement pension, and citizen‑service issues.
• Administrative tasks related to case processing.
• Introduce and support new colleagues within the department.
• Participate in development projects and improve work processes.
• Undertake ad‑hoc assignments, shaping solutions as needed.

Required profile

• Social‑work education (social worker, social assistant, counseling assistant or equivalent).
• Interest in close citizen interaction and solution‑oriented work.
• Curious, collaborative, responsible and able to communicate clearly.
• Comfortable in a busy environment and supportive of teammates.
• Positive, structured attitude.
• Proficiency in Greenlandic and Danish is a plus.
• Experience with case handling and willingness to learn IT systems (GetOrganized, AX Prism) is advantageous.
