About the role

The Department for Families and Support Interventions is seeking a dedicated youth consultant to strengthen families' competencies and promote children's well‑being. The role focuses on preventive, supportive work in close collaboration with families and internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counseling and support to young people and their families.
• Develop and deliver individually tailored interventions.
• Implement early, preventive measures for vulnerable youth.
• Engage in multidisciplinary and cross‑sector collaboration.
• Participate in network meetings and coordinate interventions.
• Document and follow up in relevant systems.

Required profile

• Relevant social‑work education (e.g., social work, social pedagogy, social counseling).
• Experience working with youth and families, preferably in a municipal or preventive context.
• Ability to work holistically, structured and independently.
• Strong relational skills and capacity to build trust.
• Proficiency in interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Good written and oral communication skills in Greenlandic and Danish.
• Capability to handle complex issues in a dynamic environment.
• Resilience to manage both planned and acute tasks.
• Physical and mental robustness to maintain professional overview.
• Bilingualism in Greenlandic and Danish is advantageous but not required.
