About the role

We are looking for a reliable caretaker (pedel) to join our team at a 34‑bed nursing home with an activity centre. The role involves ensuring the building and its facilities are safe, functional and well‑maintained for residents, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the building, both interior and exterior, and report any deficiencies.
• Carry out small repairs on structures, furniture and equipment.
• Supervise technical installations and ensure they operate correctly.
• Assist with room set‑up and clearance during resident move‑ins and move‑outs.
• Set up assistive devices for events and act as driver when needed.
• Serve as fire safety instructor and oversee overall safety procedures.
• Maintain washing machines, cleaning equipment, wheelchairs and other aids.
• Participate in safety meetings and other internal meetings.

Required profile

• Vocational training or technical background in a craft trade.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Experience with building maintenance and practical handwork.
• Honest, trustworthy, flexible and loyal.
• Service‑oriented attitude.
