About the role

The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a Health Aide (or a similar professional) to join the team at Ippiarsuk Care Centre. Ippiarsuk provides residential care for 34 residents and an activity centre for 35 day‑users. The position is full‑time (40 hours per week) with rotating day, evening and night shifts, including weekend work every second weekend.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic care, assistance and treatment to residents.
• Implement preventive measures to promote residents' well‑being.
• Activate and engage residents in daily activities.
• Collaborate closely with relatives and families.
• Work in close cooperation with the department manager.

Required profile

• Educated Health Aide or equivalent qualification.
• Stable, responsible and able to work independently while maintaining an overview.
• Loyal, collaborative and respectful towards elderly users.
• Physically and mentally strong with solid experience in elderly care.
• Willingness to take on new tasks as the centre develops.
• Prepared to mentor new colleagues and support trainees.
• Fluency in Greenlandic and Danish is a plus, but not mandatory.
