About the role

Hjemmehjælpen in Nuuk is looking for a qualified and motivated health aide to work day and evening shifts, providing personal care, support and rehabilitation for approximately 290 citizens in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care, hygiene assistance and household support to assigned citizens across 10 fixed routes.
• Guide and support unskilled staff and students, ensuring quality of service.
• Perform rehabilitative tasks aimed at maintaining or improving functional abilities.
• Document care activities, assess needs and contribute to care planning.
• Participate in preventive health initiatives and respond to somatic and mental health symptoms.

Required profile

• Qualified health aide or equivalent education.
• Responsible, stable and able to work independently.
• Willing to enhance professional standards and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills, empathy and ability to respect diverse needs.
• Driving licence is an advantage but not mandatory.
