About the role

Pingajeqqad is looking for a Souschef to support the leader of an age‑integrated childcare centre serving 88 children aged 0‑6 years across six rooms. The role involves daily collaboration with the centre leader, ensuring smooth operations during opening hours (Monday‑Friday 07:00‑17:00) and contributing to the institution’s pedagogical goals.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the law governing pedagogical offers for preschool children and follow political strategies and goals.
• Maintain an overview of daily activities, be flexible and stable, and respond to children, staff and parents.
• Identify opportunities, advise and support staff in their pedagogical work, and respect staff diversity.
• Act as a visible and present Souschef, handling IT/computer tasks and participating in administrative and financial leadership.
• Work closely with the centre leader on planning, development and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue with strong collaboration abilities.
• Good organisational overview, flexibility and stability.
• Responsive to children, staff and parents, and able to see possibilities rather than obstacles.
• Capable of guiding and counselling staff in pedagogical matters.
• Familiar with using IT tools for administrative purposes.
