About the role

The municipality of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is seeking a dedicated consultant for the pension area within its Social Service department in Paamiut. The role involves handling early retirement and old‑age pension cases in compliance with current legislation and providing advice to citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Assess applications for early retirement and conduct re‑evaluations of existing cases.
• Process pension cases, provide guidance and ensure decisions follow legal regulations.
• Prepare proposals for the interdisciplinary committee and collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Conduct citizen interviews and facilitate three‑party meetings with employers.
• Manage senior budget adjustments, allowances, and pension changes.
• Maintain resource profiles and support the elderly services unit.

Required profile

• Education equivalent to TNI or similar.
• Experience in case handling within the pension field.
• Interest and competence in IT systems (GetOrganized, AX prisme).
• Service‑oriented, collaborative, detail‑focused and able to work independently.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility for ad‑hoc tasks; bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is a plus.
