About the role

The municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a maternity‑leave substitute to join the Department for Development, Health Promotion and Prevention. You will support staff working directly with children and youth to improve mental health, prevent bullying, promote sexual health, nutrition, physical activity and substance‑use prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate teaching sessions, workshops and development programmes for schools, day‑care centres and clubs.
• Ensure that all interventions are based on identified needs, data, research and municipal goals.
• Collaborate with partners such as police, health services, social services and other relevant stakeholders.
• Disseminate knowledge to professionals, children, young people and parents.

Required profile

• Experience in teaching, presentation or public communication and comfort speaking before groups.
• Relevant education (e.g., pedagogical, teaching, social‑work or health‑related qualification).
• Familiarity with Greenlandic community conditions.
• Respectful and appreciative attitude toward others.
• Fluency in both Greenlandic and Danish.
