Assistant Manager (Souschef) for Integrated Childcare Institution

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Manager (Souschef) to support the leadership of Pingajeqqad, an integrated childcare institution in Tasiilaq. The role involves overseeing daily operations for 88 children aged 0‑6, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and collaborating closely with the head of the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the leader in achieving pedagogical development goals and maintaining clear communication across staff.
• Monitor compliance with the law on pedagogical offers for preschool children and align work with political strategies.
• Provide guidance and advice to staff in their work with children, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
• Participate in administrative and financial management tasks as needed.
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence for children, parents, and employees.

Required profile

• Qualified pedagogue with a solid educational background.
• Strong collaborative abilities and professional competence.
• Flexible, stable, and responsive to the needs of children, staff, and families.
• Ability to see opportunities rather than obstacles and to support staff diversity.
• Preferably bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish, though not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic IT and computer operation.
